The Tigger Is Coming!
Wow! One more week! Then it will be tong tong tong chiang! Tong tong tong Chiang! tong tong tong chiang, tong chiang, tong chiang!

Happy Chinese New Year! RAWR!
Well, this year CNY will not be the same for me! Well, for 20 over years I am always so looking forward to CNY, it is like the time of the year you’ll get your yearly BONUS! ANG POWSSS!! ahaha! This year will be the opposite way for me! I have to give instead of receiving! Yo man! Sounds like I am so old already! Which I am so not!
This is my first year giving and I am really feeling awkward about this! I can say 60% of people that will be receiving from me are older or of the same age! LOL! How are you going to cope that? HAHAHA! Just plain weird!
Here I go, trying to understand and move into the Chinese culture which I am still learning! Well, money doesn’t just fall from heaven for you to pack your ang pows… My mom-in-law just reminded me to change small notes for ang pow few days ago! WOW! that is totally not in my mind at all! Well, thanks for the guidance!
Besides this, I am also trying to figure out how my parents can get red packets to give away so easily every year? I went to the bank they gave me 2 oranges in a box instead of ang pows… I went to shop my groceries…they do not give me ang pows like they used to give my parents.. my question..why???? Do I look to young to be married or my dark skin causes confusion?? hahah! People often thinks that I am a Malay..just a sexier one..ahaha! But nope me not!
But then thanks to my sis-in-law to spare me some and of course Jon who have so much to give away!
The best part of CNY this year? CNY and Lovie day falls on the same day! WOW! So, we celebrate CNY in the morning and Lovie at night? LOL! Anyway, I will not be in Malaysia for this year chinese new year but then guys! Don’t worry! Ang pow will still reach you! Make sure you come when I call! ahahaha!
I will be having reunion with my Hubbie in SG. Well, just the two of us… so we planned to have prosperity Burger for reunion! Yeah man! The new era Chinese! wahaha! Do it the McD way! Woohoo! Ah…sorry mommy and daddy! Will be back home late this year!
Okie! I need to get ready to go out soon! Gotta clean me face nice nice so that my friend can use me face good good for her make up lesson! aha!
Lovie lovie people! ~n_n~

I know I need to post this up earlier! I am so sorry! Have not been resting since I touch KL on Monday. Finally, I my head begin to spin so badly this morning! Time to stay home… my body is calling out!
Last weekend was a blast! It was one awesome weekend! I left for Singapore again last Friday evening as usual to meet my dearie who is currently stationed there for a couple of months! He surprise me with tickets to visit the Universal Studio Singapore (which is not officially open yet). So nice of his friend to gave up the tickets for us! ~HUGS~

Slip into my new pair of my F21 jeans, my favourite Charles and keith shoe! and not to forget my big little Charles and Keith Bag that I present myself out of a depression shopping! LOL! IT WAS ACTUALLY A THESIS SUBMISSION REWARD FOR ME SELF! Muahahahaha! BTW the bag looks good on my dearie too when he helped me to carry them…some bags make guys look really sissy…oops! OK enough of shoes and bags!
Universal studio was beautiful! Well, I have not been to the actual one in US (ok…i am a turtle without legs…)(er…nvm), so I can’t really compare! But all I know is that I have a bundle of fun there!
As we were lining up to enter, we were greeted by KungFu panda! Cute and FAT! As we enter, Frankenstein and a bird (dunno his name!) was there to take picture with the people! SAdly there were no Melman and Marty…HOw I miss Marty..hehhe the The Black Zebra with white stripes..LOL!
The donkey live show was really good for the kids..really… but not so much for me..or maybe the interaction of the audience was a bit low ( U know la typical asian people where got sporting wan!) It was still a great experience!
The buildings inside there were amazing and beautiful! Even the toilet is nicer than my house! The dustbin is so clean that it can become my tripod…LOL!
Food? Well, I will definitely not miss out on food! U can ask dearie how I show my tantrum if he don’t give me food! AHAHA! All food in Universal Studio that Saturday was entitled to 50% discount! NYUM! My stomach is calling! Can you hear!!?? The Churos was sedap (delicious) and the PIZZA IS OVER SIZED! Larger than your palm…and slightly larger than your face! Yesh! that is the size of a slice! So the whole pizza is made up of the six slice of that! HUGE EH? U think they just look big? They are delicious too!! Owh, they come with complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice on that day! And the set meal comes with a slice of yummy tiramisu! Whoa! My stomach is calling now ald! AYO!

The first Victoria Secret in Asia is open there! WOW! I was happy but then disappointed…the shop is not very big and they don’t sell bra…. Move my mind.
SUBSIDY seems to be the current issue in the country today. People fear and run about when government plan to remove the subsidy. People queue up for petrol when they have to pay the full price the following day as if they will not need any petrol after that. People rush to stock up sugars/rice/ dairy product when the they media announce the raise. Does this add burdens to the citizens? Or help the citizen to think and spend wisely?
First and foremost, my removing the subsidy means the increase in product pricing. This will however not eventually but immediate increase in food pricing for hawker centre.
~Small thought~
20 cent increase in sugar triggered 20 cent increase for a loaf of bread. – Do we use 1kg of sugar to make a loaf of bread? Well, I don’t bake.
20 cent increase in sugar pricing also triggered 20cent increase in chendol. – 2 scoop of melaka sugar = 1 kg of sugar?
Roti canai price increase because petrol increase.. can anybody explain?
Secondly, by increasing the petrol pricing causes the cost of public transport to increase but does that means improvement of services? NO! Increase does not comes with service. It is just to cover.
When the media announce the extra cost, the reason is always to improve the system. Well, results are not very impressive. Not very pedestrian and disable friendly besides the main city area. People who do not walk will not understand the issue of being splash wet to work, fell into the drain due to lost cover (stolen by some idiot), fell into a hole due to poor road condition, hit by a car due to drivers who forget what they learn, robbed by motorist, raped, feeling under the hot sun and many more.
Here, I picked this up from someone’s opinion
“Those who can afford to buy cars or motorcycles can surely afford the price of petrol for their vehicles.
If they cannot afford it, then use public transport or car pool with neighbours or friends. There will be fewer cars and motorcycles on the road, thus less traffic jam.” (The Star opinion column, Yuni Abdullah, Kuala Lumpur)
IF life is as simple as words can describe then I think this world would be a perfect place.
Use public transport – If all would just take taxi. WHoala! No parking problem! But traffic jam will still be there! And the cost of taxi is very expensive these days! What about bus? How efficient can it be? Are they punctual? Frequency? Reasonable? Sufficient? Capacity? Are they safe? Are they clean? Is there law/ rules and regulation enforced? I have friends who lost their phones and passports in train and friends who lost their purse in Bus. Up to you to decide.
Carpool – City life can be pretty unpredictable. The amount of workaholics are increasing as time flies. Unless you have fixed working hour say, 9am to 5pm? How many of us have such privilege? People finish work at different time, even friends in the same office finish at different time. People don’t run errant during working hours/ take extra long lunch/tea break like some privilege workers to do some personal things. What about sales person? They don’t meet same customer and they don’t meet customer at the same place/ same time. So how does that work? Drop me in LRT then i’ll take a train there? If it is possible then it is great. If not? too bad..
The deal is that sometimes people are forced to get a car/ motorbike so that they are not handicap. Face the reality that our public transport are still far from better. It will be great if you are living around the city. But what about those away from the city?
And to certain people, expenses increases faster than increment. Saving shrinks faster than the incoming.
Truthfully, it is not about the funding, it is more about management and enforcement. People take things for granted when there is a written law without enforcement and mismanagement. A change must come with a proper and on-going plan which will help to move the country to a better phase in the future. Not the hot hot chicken shit plan (hangat hangat tahi ayam). But then, action is not as simple as words.
~Statement above does not direct to anybody specifically, not meant for insulting, neither siding any party. Just a little dude trying to survive and earn like everybody else. I would love to apologise if I accidentally hit a sensitive spot.~

Where to go for dating? Shopping? eating? movie? and more food? cycling? Jogging? Er…
After being married for 3 months plus and being in kl for years…shopping can sometimes be not so exciting anymore. We stopped for lunch at 1.30pm and then proceed to see the beruang (bear)…sun bear, brown bear…and duno wat bear.. they are nothing like pooh bear! they are black..not yellow…
ZZzzZZzzZZzz… ok! stop sweating! come back!
After visiting the bear, we quickly head for the animal show at 3pm…and there is where we see parrot show.. and sealion show! How cheeky the animals can be..and there is where I get bites from I don’t even know what and allergies all over me thigh…CRYYYYEEEEEEE!!!!!! No minis and shorts for another week..ARGH!!!
Before bidding the zoo goodbye, we went to visit the giraffe again..and this time.. I manage to feed the giraffe!!!! SO CUTE!!!!!!!!! They have super long black tongue…. and one of the male giraffe keep sticking out its sticky tongue..(don ask me how i knows its male! He just keep smelling a female giraffe ass…rub his head on her neck…almost ahem…she walk away! SMART GIRL! ahahaha! must be male!) Well, I also thought giraffe was very talllll…but then it is not so tall when i see them… either I have grew taller or malaysian giraffe mutated.. NAH!
So here is the summary pixie…and I slept like a baby on my way home..oink oink!
By the way.. if is kind of sad to see the animals in a rundown cage…and worst…in the cage…but then if they are out there…bad human will hunt them down…sigh….sobs….
- little girl feeding the elephant the RM5 little bamboo

Happy 2010!
Hey Hey! Lets usher in 2010 with great enthusiasm! Ah well… maybe not so much for me… but then hey! my cell dudes does cheer me up with a nice overloaded seafood meal! It was a crucial decision whether to go to Singapore on the 31st night or not. Well, I decided to stay in order to pick up my attendance in lab lately after taking one month off for vacation to almost nowhere. Well, with this, I have to usher in 2010 without my crabby hubby next to me! OUTCH!
On the other good side, at least I can stay home spend some time with my in laws… do some cleaning ..do some 2010 planning and thinking for my upcoming months! Well, wasting it with a sulk would be the worst thing to do! Life is still great!
2010 will be a year where I have to kick my lazy butt goodbye and stop procrastinating! Gonna live life like I mean it! Woohoo!! tahdah!!

the 2009
3 more days, year 2009 will come to an end. How did you plan your 2009 and how did you achieve them? Well, Esther told us to list down the 100 things to be thankful of in year 2009. I think it is definitely a great idea!
For me, I planned my 2009 well with high goals and with lots of ideas. However, I lost my paper along the way. That is the biggest mistake ever made to be a successful person! Hence, I have to evaluate my achievements against zero scale…
My 2009 was a year with many ups and downs. It is a great year of adventure. If you ask me what did I regret? I will say none but just a lesson to learn. 2009 started of with a carry over excitement of wedding preparation! At the same time, the excitement of the beginning of my master degree research poured in too. With the two major project to handle, there were ups and down as I struggle and learn to balanced between work and love and also to do the best for both! None the less, I succeed well! Wedding was awesome in October with great love, romance and unity! On top of that, I also managed to submit my thesis in time for correction in November! Wow! It is way beyond my will. It is through God’s strength that impossible turns up side down! Besides thesis and wedding, I also did very well in presenting my paper in an international conference (AMNRE) in Jakarta and did not do very well in the national conference (PERFIK) in Malacca. Well, I can say I have achieved double master in a year (my hubby and my research). ~a pat on my shoulder~
Besides achieving academically, this is also a year where I get my passport chopped most! One for Jakarta! One for Bali! One for Singapore! ~smile wide wide~
The ultimate thing I have learnt this year would be my thrust in my darling God. When I am terribly down in my research, He appeared and comforted me with his word! When I am at the verge of giving up, He is always there to pull me back. Well, His word is so real and so solid! Besides that, I was also challenge in my finances. When I needed the money most, my pay was frozen for 2 months and my travel claims were not coming in! In the midst of preparing my wedding and passing through all the difficulties, the tendency to give up was so strong. I even felt like stop giving God what belongs to Him. However, I did not stop there! I continue to give faithfully and pray. His blessings in return in more than sufficient just one week before my wedding! WOW!
Well, until today, I can see that I can bless more that I can afford years before without running dry!
So here is the little summary of my 2009…what is yours then?
OK! So here is a few things I thank God for in 2009…
- Financial blessing
- A wonderful hubby
- A stronger faith in Him
- A great home
- Opportunity to attend international conference
- Manage to submit my thesis
- A successful wedding
- To afford a phone for my dearie that cost 4digit!
- Wonderful pre-Christmas trip to Singapore
- A wonderful Christmas present from God (hubby reach home fr SG in the dot)
- Answered prayer for my lost approval form
- A beautiful shopping with sister jay in KL
- The courage to join Estee Lauder Model search (eventhough I am way way off the standard)
- A closer relationship with my mother!
- A lab-mate who always update me!
- Great blessing from Ivy and Friend in Singapore
Whoa! Many more weh! Now that I am listing it down, I begin to see all the countless blessing He has blessed me in year 2009! Hmmm… I will leave the rest as top secret! I bet 2010 will be a year of another level! (NOT BABY YEAR) but a year a breakthrough and break-out!
~cheers!~

Monday! It is a day of solo adventure! Since most of my friends are working in cluding my dearie, so I decided to pick up a map and start walking! And here I go… I walked from Bencoolen to Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade to Suntec City Mall to Esplanade Theaters on the Bay to Marina Square to Suntec City mall again then walked through the Middle Road to Intercontinental and there I reached Bugis again! From Bugis, I walked back to Bencoolen! Journey to the east! LOL! While I was walking around there, my eyes were amazed by their creative art work…. Lets let the picture do the talking!
There are actually many more pics.. could not update all here…will probably do that in FAceBooK then!
After all the walking, finally I have a car tour from one of my dearie SG fren around the east part of SG..He tool us to the East Coast for food then to Marina Barrage for some side seeing!…NIce and Windy!!!! And then to Chinatown and back home! O ya…He bless us with a nice dinner tooo….drools….
