Bali (full-updated)

It is lunch time and I can do what ever I want! >_^

5th Oct 2009!

Rise and shine. We woke up as early as 6.30am! A morning after a great excitement! Love is still in the air..and yes it is still until today! We took my parent for breakfast in a Bak Kut Teh shop in Kl and then send them off to the bus station.

We leave for bali at around 4pm. Upon arriving at bali, we took a cab to out hotel. At Diwangkara Holiday Villa, we were greeted by a big smile and a warmth welcome by the staff. It was amazing. The lobby looks simple. The bell boy took out luggage and lead us to our room. We followed him from behind and hope to see a stairs or elevator to take us to our deluxe/ superior room. To our surprise, he leads up to a small door. He pushes the door open and wow! There is a pool in there with two rooms side by side. Ah…is this a villa?

the pool

He then leads us to our room which is right in front of the pool and check the condition in the room to make sure everything is ok.

After settling down, we head to the restaurant for our welcome drink and dinner. To our surprise, the restaurant is just by the beach! Wow! The waiter greet us with a smile and took a picture for us! The ambience was beautiful! Warm light with the moon shining on us 45deg from the sea level. The reflection of the moonlight on the sea gives us a clam and loving atmosphere. It was suppose to be a simple dinner but it turns out to be real romantic with the full round moon by the sea! Well, it did not just stopped there! The restaurant was surrounded by raggae music by a near by beach front bar. And that just sets up a perfect dinner atmosphere!

6th Oct..Rise and shine! We woke up at 7am for a wonderful breakfast by the beach! 8.30am we head to the lobby and our driver was there waiting for us. With a smile and a firm hand shake, he then leads us to his car. The tour journey begin!

First stop – we went to a batik factory. We see how people weave cloth in traditional way and how they paint and draw batiks! Wow! Beautiful!

Second Stop – After the batik experience, we went to watch the Barong Dance at 9.30 am. It cost us 80 000rp perperson! Okie abit costly but it is fun! Some new and very cultural!

After the Barong dance, we head to Sukawati for a little shopping. There we bought some clothes, arts and crafts for a very good price! WOW! CHEAP! There were so much things to shop and many fascinating art works to see such as, nice candle holder, cute head shaking turtles, aroma therapy oil, wood carving, baskets and unique bottle cap opener…..shape of a penis! LOL! They hv keychains for that too and u can find them almost in every shop more than u can find turtles.

After the shopping spree, we head for sight seeing – the padi terrace. We did not go around much there. We took some pictures and then head to Kintamani!padi

We reach Kintamani just in time for lunch! We were so hungry! The driver dropped us in a buffet restaurant sitting on the crest of the Gunung Batur volcano. Well, dangerous? of course not! After the second eruption, the main crest in dead while forming a baby peak in the middle! So we were a little far from the baby peak but from the crest we can actually get a good glimpse of the baby peak on a fine weather. Sadly, it was cloudy on that day! The buffet cost us RP90 000 per person and on top of that there are 21% tax! OUTCH@#%$! One food that fascinate us is the PORK SATAY! Yesh! PORK SATAY! It is really nice! After our meal, the driver took us to another location to get a better view of the volcano and the lake! It was amazing and it was beautiful! And the place is like ~ cold!

On our way back from kintamani, we stop by a volcano sand collection side to get some volcano rocks as souvenir! Hehe! And then we head to a temple for a visit. Well, that does not interest us much. The temple was built for about 1000 years ago. Of course they have nice architecture.

After that , we have a looong trip back to kuta which we fell asleep snoring like a pig in the car! HEHE! In kuta! We have one best luxury shopping of our life! Its like Europe o new york some kind! Shops along the streets! WOW! I bought my bikini in surfer girl there and it is @#$%^& cheap!

After some shopping in kuta, we went to Poppies for dinner. It is recommended by lonely planet so we went to explore! Tumbs up! The food is not very expensive, the ambience is nice (but got mosquito) and the food is awesome! MUST TRY!

After dinner we head back to Sanur and rest!

7th Oct

Went for snorkelling in the morning.. 35USD per person for an hour! It was a blast! The boat bounce over the wave and the sea water was so clear and nice! The person in charge bring along some bread to attract the fish over. One bread fell in front of my face and the fish came so near! Scream and laugh!

After that we lay around the hotel beach for a little tan!

We checked out at 1PM and were greeted by Fumara Xclusive driver at the lobby to pick us up to their hotel.

Furama Exclusive is super exclusive! Words cannot describe but it is superb! We had a great time in the hotel! The room and the tub was nicely decorated with flowers and petals!

8th Oct

We have out breakfast send into our room! After breakfast we went for a little swim before we took a shuttle down to Ubud market to explore and shop.

In Ubud central, we went to Warung Ibu Oka for babi guling special after out tiring walk! AWESOME! NICE! The place is a little humid and we have to dine on the floor. However it is clean and it gives us a good experience…

After a nice trip to the central, we head back to the hotel for our complimentary 1hr Balinese massage! After the massage we head back to our room to prepare for our romantic dinner that will be served in our room! The dining area was set up with petals and candles! Beautiful! Dinner is served at 7.30pm and it was romantic and delicious! The night ended with some stars in the sky…

9th Oct! I hate the day! So So So So So SoSo hate it! I have to leave! So have to leave furama! So have to leave Bali! WHY!!!!!!??? Yeah, we spent a little time in the hotel in the morning and check out at 1pm. Our diver greet us at the lobby and we hv to bid Furama goodbye! We head to sukawati again for last minute shopping and then to kuta for 2 hours aroma therapy massage. Can’t smell anything due to nose block!
