Yeah, some Mondays can be so blue when the sky is gloomy and you have to leave to work or anything. I was in Singapore this morning and here I am writing this post at night in Malaysia!

It was a gloomy morning in Singapore this morning. Dearie took a bus with me just to drop me off to the bus station. Ah, goodbye is the saddest thing. Even-though I’ll be seeing him soon (4 more days), I still miss him! The gloominess of the sky adds the gloominess to my heart. AWH…

On the bright side, I was blessed with a leap of upgrade in my ride to and fro! I somehow purchase a normal ticket to Sg and back, however the company upgraded my ride to 1st class (without extra charges) because their normal bus was not in a good condition. I thought it was only a trip. But it shocked me again when they put me on premium 1st class (which is better than previous 1st class) ride back to Malaysia! WOW! I am so so blessed with food and comfort despite getting land-sick due to the double decker bus.

Getting bored with my post without pictures?

I love to write and I am always inspired by ideas and things around me! BUT! I always leave my camoorah (camera) aside! Argh! Either I am too lazy to snap them, or did not bring them along or the biggest mistake – camoorah without SD card! WOOHOO! So me!

Looks like I am all about food. That actually explains why I am an inch fatter this month! Besides this long name desert, a friend of dearie took us to Chin Chin Eating Place somewhere in between City Hall and Bugis for a nice big Hainanese lunch (specialty = Chicken rice) ! No Pic for that because I left my camera back in the room..SOBS! As we were searching for snacks after the huge lunch we came across Fruit Pie from Tokyo! Interesting SGD7.80 slice of pie! It was pretty costly and on top of that the queue was extremely long! So we opt for Max Brenner again! Max Brenner Pics are in Dearies phone..sobs!

:Fact: Human having hard time to obey the zebra crossing. It seems to be awfully difficult for ‘some’ human to cross the road using zebra crossing while it is only say 100m from their crossing position. Monkeys in universities are still smarter than university graduates students when it comes to road rules!:

Housewife have a routine… wake up, prepare breakfast, do the cleaning and cooking. Dang! I hate the cleaning and waking up early…ahahaha! So, I crash today. I woke up at 10am….everyone have left to work! Ooops!

LAst night we went for a nice dip in the jacuzzi and a nice short swim after our dinner. If has been ages and yes AGES since I last exercise. Just last night.. I realised that I have lost my flat hourglass shape when I hop in my bikini. ARGH! I hate that! I hate looking flabby and so unattractive! I may not be a model but at least an acceptable body to look sharp, to be alert and to enjoy clothings! I truly need some motivation to keep me in shape! Going for a free jog in the park and crashing into a gym in friends apartment does nt seems to be the drive now. Perhaps, if I pay to exercise then I will feel guilty for not exercising!

I will be leaving sg tonight and I cant wait to crash on my own comfy bed! Well, as usual there are a few must have when I come over to Sg..

And my usual lunch when I am really lazy to get out for shopping will be my SGD2.50 mix rice.

In few house time I should be packing my stuff and head home. And once again, I need to go back to my normal routine life. LAB LAB LAB…

But before jumping to Monday, I am looking forward to have a home-mie time with dearie this weekend. Not that I have planned anything, but for the rare time, dearie has planned it! He planned to take me for korean food this weekend! AWH…. <3 <3 <3 so much love!

Adding above all the joyous moment, DEARIE will becoming home for sure next month! Ah…counting down the dates! No more lonely nights…no more battling the cicak alone! No more killing ants alone! My hero is coming home!

Back home, life is pretty much convenient, or maybe I would say I have a luxurious life back home. But is that so? Luxury today is define as having everything that belongs to the high end, i.e, having a BMW/ Ferrari to drive/ maybe with a driver, Able to drive to a destination and need to walk under crazy rain and scorching sun, holding LV or Burberry instead of Padini or Charles and Keith, Using iphone or Blackberry with all the application and many more, staying in a landed property where your house is covered with your own compound/ gerden (bungalow), owning a private jet, etc.

However, my luxury does not fall in either category, Don’t even think of BMW, I don’t even have a Toyota, iphone? I have my-phone! Bags? Nothing higher than F21…house? A cozy ones which is still in progress in terms of furnishing. Maybe luxury is not the right term, but comfortable enough to live with will be a better way to describe.

Elephant can drive?

As I was walking to get my breakfast this morning, I decided to take a slower walk to take a little look around to see how people live in Sg. Well, not many drive everywhere like I used to back home (even to a destination which will only take 10min). Career woman with nice make up, smart outfit with matching heel and of course a matching hand/work bag did not drive, but walk a distance to catch MRT or buses to work. Then I think to myself. If I were in their shoe… I will definitely scream my head off! But on the other hand, at least they walk more than I do!

But what about shopping? Yeah, I even saw a lady with shiny tight tube dress with stilletos taking MRT on a normal weekend. They walk fast but how they balance that with their tiny heels? OUTCH….

Old folks would come out and buy their groceries but how do they trevel? BY BUS! Well, they are neither young nor too old but they are definitely strong enough to carry all those bags and balance themselves up and down the bus.

Most people here uses public transport. That is why the jam during peak hours are not as bad as those back home! And of course, their transport system could not be compared in anyway if we were to compare with ours. Travelling is very easy here! I just need to go to the web and directions are given to me! (NOT  just IN MAP FORM BUT AS IN WHICH BUS/MRT TO TAKE, HOW MAY STOPS, HOW LONG WILL THE JOURNEY TAKE, HOW MAY INTERCHANGE, HOW MUCH WILL THE TRIP COST AND SO FORTH!) Believe me it is super accurate! 15 min a bus means 15 min a bus and not 30 min! This is call “RELIABLE!”

I think life back home is comfortable enough BESIDES going through all the crazy jam. (30 min journey can turned into 2hr journey). But of course I felt much more comfortable in Sg due to their language (feel so much like PEnang) and efficiency(less people who shake their butt more that they walk which actually slow down their speed).

Luxury back home are meant to be ROB, but luxury in Sg are meant to be enjoy!

Back home, people snatch your pasar malam bag (YES I SAY PASAR MALAM! SO WHAT ABOUT GUCCI?), people steal your BMW, people steel your phone, and people pick your pocket. Here in sg, nice cars are everywhere, people even put iphone on the table like nokia 8850, carry branded bags taking buses and walking on the street…Any risk of being rob? Well, maybe there are cases but people seems to be safe and comfortable out there.

But on the bright side, having a car back home is cheaper than having a car here. Parking are of course much cheaper despite of the security and congestion. We have much spacious home at affordable prices compare to Sg, besides having to make our homes like prison due to break-ins.

What more can I complain? I miss my car back home, I miss driving right into my compound and need not walk so far to smell the smell of home. Need not come back with tired and aching feet (besides long hour shopping) and able to dump all my shopping bags in the car after shopping and slowly carry them into the house. Ah… that is luxury with limitation, comfort with insecurity, spending with insufficiency.

Hope its not too late!But i miss my Egg shape chocolate!!

Well, I was off to Singapore again last weekend. Felt bad that I actually missed my church Easter production, but then I have a great one in SG on that weekend. But, I still felt lost.. I MUST GET THE DVD!

Last week trip was an awesome trip! It was suppose to be my shopping trip but then I did not shop much. But..it was still fruitful!

I left about 3pm on Friday and reach Sg about 9pm. Ah well, trip was greatly delayed due to some foreigners who loves to dilly dally and do not know how to fill the white card and don’t even bother to ask! Sigh… Just becasue of the 14 of them, my dearies plan was canceled. We were suppose to head to Chinatown for dinner (Herbal Chicken and Tong Yuen)…due to the delay we ended up eating our favorite Pan Mee on our way home.

We went to IKEA in Tampines before we head to church service. My first time there and yeah, it is bigger than what we have here! LOL! After church service dearie decided to visit the ‘branded watch sales’ hall. So we went. It was pretty interesting to see so many brands there like Adidas, Fossil, Burberry, Michael Kors and more la. To buy a watch, my tiny risk was a problem. Big watch makes me looks like Doraemon! After spending some time browsing, dearie finally finalize a watch for me from Fossil. He remembers that I was actually saving up for a Fossil watch, so he decided to buy it for me instead! AWH… ^_^… So, due to the price of the watch, the shopping list was canceled! ahaha!

On Saturday night we went dinner with IVY! We were so blessed by her. We dine in a chinese restaurant in ION ORCHARD…and then she took us to PS cafe in..I forget the name of the place….sounds like DUMSEY HILL…ahaha! It was a very nice place! Full of classey restaurants and bungalows!

SUNDAY! WE SLEPT HALF THE DAY! Ahahaha! We did a little shopping in the afternoon and went to MAX BRENNER for our tea break. FOR CHOCOLATE LOVERS LIKE ME…DO TRY! SO recomended! Very nice! I think I consume a lot of sweet stuff on sunday… Bubble tea (chocolate milk tea falvor), Macha ice cream, Max Brenner hot dark choc, sugar cane and tong yuan. EEE….FATTTEEEEE!

MONDAY BLUEEEEEE….hv to leave Dearie and back to LAB again…SOBS!

On my way back, I was told by my lab mate that I have a presentation this coming MOnday… Argh! So, I did not send my name in..neither did my dear labmate….and later found out neither did my boss…which GHOST did that??? Sigh… I was suppose to be seeing my dearie today…Noow…I have to postpone it to Monday after presentation… SAD LA!

Full of agenda lining up for this weekend! It is going to be great! I AM NOW HUNGREEEEE!!!!!

After clearing my stuff from the car, an idea hit my head. Yeah, this must be a good topic for blogging!

Our older generations seems to have better surviving skill than what we have today. Maybe because they were born in left fortunate era where not everything is as accessible as today. I remember my great grandpa was originated from China. He and his wife migrated to Malaysia and since then they were farmers. They learn to survive from war, and they plant their own food to survive. With the little things they have in hand to work on, they manage to move their way up from a little farm to many estate and soon a business which enable them to own many properties. (So, you must think that I am rich now ah? NO!) His son (my grandpa) was slightly a different man. Was not well in managing wealth and hence we depreciated from there. In my grandparents era, they have to go through war too. From there, they learn to plant their own vege.

I grew up in a village, hence, plantation is nothing odd for me. I have banana tree, starfruit, ciku, small mango, mango, pomelo, jackfruit tree, rambutan tree, coconut tree, papaya tree and some other trees which I don’t even know their names surrounding my dear wooden house! It is not easy to maintain them! My uncle would have to climb those trees to wrap the fruits with newspapers so that they are safe from bats and worms! Without much chemical, they grew nicely and their fruits are sweet. But who is willing to do that kind of job today? The only planting we know is to plant in FARMVILLE!

Today, we are surrounded with so many variety of food. All we need to do is to get the cash and buy them home! We are so blessed that we do not even need to learn to survive by planting or growing our own food. We just need to survive in the market place to bring the bread to the table and yet, we complain when the onions were ugly, the chicken is not fresh, the fish is smelly, the very got too many spots, mushroom so expensive, too much chemical used to grow the vege and so on. Besides growing our own farm in our mini garden, we cement or tile them up to make bigger space for our home and less work on maintenance (cutting the grass, watering the plant, condition the soil and wrapping those fruits). The fact is that mini garden can help to cool down your house temperature. Beside spending some time in the garden to enjoy the green and fresh air while gardening, we rather play our video games (the tech savvy generation), work over time (for more income) to cope with increasing food price, go party all night or maybe sleep for long hours.

With much service provided to make our life easier, we tend to take advantage of what we have given. How many of us today actually wash our own car? They either not wash till they have to pick some important people, or maybe just spend some CASH to send their car for CAR WASH services. Business is always and excuse and jobs are created to help busy people to complete their work. We pay people to clean our house, we pay people to cook for us, we even pay people to run our errands and many more. And yet, we complain… BAD SERVICE! I PAY YOU TO WORK AND YOU GIVE ME LOUSY SERVICE?

Like it or not, MONEY is the surviving TOOL today in our modern society. It is no longer our farming skill. Life gets easier when our bank account gets fatter. The world have evolved MONEY have take its lead in the society. But what will happen when one day MONEY no longer have its power? Are we ready to plow with out bare hands?

Global warming is not a myth anymore. It is now a reality. Gold is not the only option to cure but go green will be the ultimate option to cure our mother earth. Going green does not means going backwards. There are many entrepreneur move extra miles to turn green into their gold. With our little help we can try to support by using our own recycle bag rather than having the mentality of :

“20sen per plastic bag only. I have the money, I can pay for the plastic”.

Saturday! Broga day! After an amazing 3 hr sleep in my dearies arms, I have to drag myself up (even I hate to) to prepare to hill climbing expedition! We left house about 4.15am in the morning and pick our friend up before he head for the expedition! We arrive that the foot around 5.30am to 6am. Well, we forget about our torch lights! So, we need to rely on other friends torch! So, anyone venture into hill under the moon light before? Well, it was fun! Its pitch dark! and the stars are beautiful!

With a lot of sweat, fun and strength, we finally enjoy the cool morning breeze with a kiss of sunshine!

After a good morning exercise, we head to the most expensive food court for food. I had my rm8.50 Bak Kut Teh that does not taste like bak kut teh..ok…forgive…

After all the morning adventure, we head home for a nap and spend the late afternoon venturing into baking! My first attempt to bake EGG TART with the help of dearie! He has a big fat flat thumb which is really good for pressing the dough into the mold! Well, I guess his mom is really proud of him! He bakes! ahahah! We made 12 mini tarts and share it with his parents. They love it so much! and not to mention, my dearie love it too! He actually requested me to make another round so that he can bring back to SG! So we went to shop for proper molding on Sunday after church service and spend our Sunday night baking egg tarts together again! I brought them over to my inlaws place again this morning, and they still love it! My mom inlaw actually could not resist it and just glup in one piece while she was chopping some vege! HAHA! EGG TART business in future perhaps? AHAH!

SUNDAY! It was suppose to be my shopping day too! Dearie decide to bring me for a date. Shopping for shoes and clothes and end with delicious dinner! However, I was too SLEEPY to shop! Can you believe it? HOW CAN YOU BE SLEEPY WHEN YOUR DEARIE IS PAYING FOR YOUR SHOPPING!? Maybe there were too many people in the mall and I was not comfortable shopping. Hence, dearie decide we head for our planned dinner and postpone shopping to this weekend in SG! AWESOME!! Hopefully I am not lazy to shop! ahahahahah!

Dinner? We had Zanmai Shushi for dinner. Well, dearie actually translate it for me the meaning of the shop…it is called ~3 taste shushi~ wahahahaha! Another attempt for hearty meal and out tiny tummy only spend RM53. Goodness! We are such a small eater!

Well, it was just a short weekend with dearie. I miss you already!

So, after talking to one of my trusted friend/leader, he manage to give me proper words to settle the issue. Well, I hate to talk about it, i would prefer to write but then I force myself to confront it and it turn out teary-silly me but it was good! Like one of my friend said – *ladies are very emotional. Sometimes we cry over small issue and we don’t even know why we even cry*. Thanks for you concern as well lil sis! It may be affecting my health badly but then yes, I am learning to cope with transitions now! Cross roads are never easy but then at least I have his support behind my back now.
